Dragan Radocaj is a fine art photographer based in Tanunda, Barossa Valley. His work draws inspiration from the rich landscapes of Australia, capturing light, texture and mood in a way that echoes the timeless beauty of masters such as Sir Hans Heysen, Frederick McCubbin and Tom Roberts.

 

Early in his career, Dragan made a conscious decision not to enter photography or art competitions. He never saw his work as entirely within the conventional boundaries of photography and therefore felt little need to have it judged against other photographers' work. From the beginning, his ambition was to create something that occupied its own space, somewhere between photography and painting, guided by a personal artistic vision rather than by competitions, trends or conventional definitions of photographic art.

 

In 2019, he was inducted into the Barons of Barossa, one of the region's most respected wine fraternities, in recognition of his contribution through art and his longstanding promotion of the Barossa and its wine community, both throughout Australia and internationally.

Over the course of his career, Dragan's fine art photography has been exhibited and collected by private and corporate collectors in Australia and around the world.

His photography reflects a deep connection to the natural world and invites viewers to experience the Australian landscape with the same sense of reverence, observation and attention to detail that shaped the work of the great Australian masters.
